MLK History Harvest

April 4 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, fifty years to the day after Dr. King’s assassination, students at Washington College have signed up for a Day of Service at Sumner Hall. At 2 PM that day, students will open the doors of Sumner Hall for an MLK-inspired History Harvest, listening and recording the community’s memories of Dr. King. In keeping with his vision for the beloved community, all are invited to share their stories and recollections. Students stand by ready to document any stories, reflections, photographs, letters, or clippings the community might have related to Dr. King’s life and legacy. Recordings will be archived at Washington College, curated by students, and shared with the community at a later date.
